Dear Valued Customer,
In order to remain duly diligent and ensure that Labco Marine does not violate economic sanctions regulations, we hereby require your full attention to the following reminders at all times:
- Labco Marine does not undertake business with individuals or entities that are directly listed on any sanctions blacklist maintained by applicable sanction regimes or entities that blocked persons retain 50% or more aggregated ownership of (‘Sanctioned Party”).
- Labco Marine does not accept Shipper Owned Vessels or Containers (SOV or SOC) that would expose it to any sanction risks. We therefore expect you to conduct due diligence prior to the delivery of the SOV or SOC to Labco Marine, ensuring that none of the ships, container owners or the prefix owners of SOC are (i)Sanctioned Party, or (ii)entities established under the laws of Iran, Russia, North Korea, Cuba, and Syria.
- Hereunder are some prohibited SOC prefixes identified by Labco Marine for your easy reference. Please note that this is a non-exhaustive list and may be subject to change from time to time. Please contact Labco Marine to obtain the most updated prohibition list before placing new bookings.
- Given that each of Labco Marine’s joint-venture partners has its own policy about economic sanctions compliance and prefix prohibition list, if your shipment will be loaded onto our partner’s vessels, Labco Marine will accept your SOC bookings based on partner’s requirement.
- While Labco Marine has no obligation to examine the background information of container owners or the prefix owners of SOC, it reserves the right to request additional information from SOC shippers or booking parties for verification, if necessary. Labco Marine may in its absolute discretion and without incurring any liability whatsoever refuse to accept the bookings or ship the SOC until the required information/documentation has been provided and verified.
