Labco Marine is proud to announce the successful completion of our first methanol bunkering operation conducted at an anchorage in the Port of Singapore. This also marks Singapore’s first methanol bunkering operation following the Maritime and Port of Singapore’s (MPA) award of methanol bunkering licenses effective 1 January 2026.
Our IMO Type 2 tanker supplied 300 metric tonnes of methanol owned by Mitsui & Co. Ltd. and chartered by Cargill, ahead of her maiden voyage to Europe.
Highlights
• Full compliance with TR129, including Mass Flow Meter accuracy and e-BDN
• First of four purpose-built tankers, with additional vessels joining through 2026
We thank MPA, Mitsui & Co., Ltd., Cargill, Ofiniti, and Bureau Veritas for their strong collaboration. Together, we are strengthening Singapore’s position as a global multi-fuel bunkering hub.
